1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use local storage for PWA install state and audio-player persistence, which function similarly.

2. Essential Cookies & Storage

These are required for core functionality and cannot be disabled:

• Audio-player state — volume, quality (128k/320k), and play state so playback persists across page navigation.
• PWA install state — remembers your dismissal of the install prompt.
• Session token — for the password-protected /docs report viewer.

3. Analytics Cookies (Microsoft Clarity)

We use Microsoft Clarity to anonymously record sessions and generate heatmaps that help us improve usability. Clarity may use cookies to distinguish users. You can disable these in your browser without affecting streaming.

4. Managing Cookies

Most browsers let you control or delete cookies in their settings. Disabling analytics cookies does not affect your ability to stream Backspace Radio. Essential storage is needed for the player and PWA to function.

5. Updates

We may update this policy if we add or change cookie usage. Check the 'Last updated' date for currency.
