1. Your Right to Erasure
Under Section 16(e) of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have the right to suspend, withdraw, or have your personal data blocked, removed, or destroyed. We honor deletion requests subject to legal retention obligations.
2. How to Request Deletion
To request deletion of your data, email privacy@bksp.fm with the subject 'Data Deletion Request' and include:
- Your full name and the email address associated with your submission.
- The specific data or submission you want deleted (e.g., startup application, job application, sponsor inquiry).
- A brief verification statement confirming you are the account holder.
3. What We Delete
Upon verified request, we will delete your submitted form data (startup submissions, job applications, sponsor inquiries), associated email records, and analytics-linked identifiers to the extent technically feasible.
4. Retention Exceptions
We may retain limited data where required by law, regulation, or legitimate business obligation, including:
- Financial and tax records (retained per Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue requirements).
- KBP and FILSCAP licensing logs and broadcast records.
- Records needed to defend against legal claims during the applicable limitation period.
- Aggregated, anonymized data that can no longer identify you.
5. Processing Time
We process verified deletion requests within 30 days. Complex requests may take up to 60 days, during which we will confirm receipt and provide a timeline.
6. Third-Party Data
If your data was shared with a sub-processor (e.g., email delivery or analytics), we will instruct that provider to delete your data as well, though their processing is governed by their own policies.
7. Effect on Services
Deleting your data may end any active inquiry, application, or sponsorship engagement. Deleted data cannot be recovered once processing is complete.
